This is a great little radio, sounds good and pulls stations in better than most. BUT... there are no tone controls; no Bluetooth; no alarm or timer. With these features it would be perfect. Curiously, Roberts' similar radio, the Classic, at the same price, does have Bluetooth and a timer - so why not include these on the Vintage? I do like the battery charger and the line out features, however, which are not in the Classic.

This item was ordered as a gift for a work colleague who was set to retire. After having removed the radio from its packaging, I decided I had to have one as well! It's just so classy and retro-looking. My work colleague loves it and says it's so handy to carry around and that the sound is excellent too. I'll be asking for one for Christmas!

Bought for my wife to listen to the radio in the kitchen. Works fine, lasts ages on rechargeable batteries,sounds OK, does the job - and we like the looks.

I like the unassuming looks, simple yet smart. The light weight is also a good factor, easy to carry around. The use of rechargeable batteries that are topped up whenever the mains is plugged in is a definite plus. Great tone, great volume.
All in all a super little radio. Thoroughly recommended.

Wanted a small portable radio. On the plus side this is a lovely solid, well made radio with the ability to re-charge it's batteries. Easy to set up and easy to use. Only wish I'd realised how useful a timer would've been, also thought I could record from it but must've misread that. I would ideally have liked a bass/treble facility too as the sound is rather low pitched. However, I am generally very pleased with it and would happily recommend it.
