Could not get rid of TCP taste from water. Wasted water multiple operation to fill a teapot. Too fiddly.

Brought this item after using my friends,it is a great buy,only boils water as you require & therefore you save money on electric would recommend & very useful for anyone who would have trouble with their hands in lifting a normal kettle.

This kettle/hot cup has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is easy to use and to fill and dispenses in several measures so that you can just press the button and not have to stand over it. I have painful hands and some muscle issues, so this is better than lifting a hot kettle any day. It does only dispense one cup at a time but tht's perfect for me.

This appliance offers convenience and works relatively well. However, the water rarely reaches an actual boil - and for those of us who are tea aficionados, this is essential. I am currently deciding whether to return it.

Bought this earlier in the year and after about a week I was not happy. It leaks like an unfingered Dutch dam, from some mysterious hole that I cannot trace. It also likes to switch itself off, normally waiting until you have got to the furthest point of the kitchen from its location before it does so. I've yet to find the eyes that it uses to do this.
When it works, it's great. And I really tried to persist with it because of this. But the constant daily mop-ups; and re-pressing of the button several times to get one cup of hot water, is now driving me wild, and I predict that shortly I'm going to be kicking it up and down the road. Breville, I won't be buying one of your shoddy products again.
