Ok, so it's an expensive kettle, but it looks great, is quiet, boils water very quickly and has a couple of nice features, such as the temperature gauge and a nice re-assuring 'boing' noise when you turn it on and also when it has boiled.

Speedy delivery and well packaged item. The unit appears well built and engineered although for some might be too heavy in use. The spout pours well and the lid release button is well placed. A minor issue is that when the button is pressed the lid does not open fully back. Also, if left handed, then the circular temp dial on body of kettle would be at rear of unit and not visible. The selection of water temperatures is useful if like us you vary your beverage choice. If you're looking for something different and are happy to spend this amount then go ahead, you'll like it. Recommended.

Stylish, lightweight, super fast boiling. I admit I spent about £30 more than necessary to have that logo on my counter top to match the processor - but we do love the light up base, little ping when it's ready and the thermostat on the kettle. A downside is the price, but sometimes you've just got to have it!

Brought this kettle because of the reviews, it is a smart kettle no doubt, but we have had ours only 6 months when it decided to spark out of the temperature lever and trip the kitchen sockets out, to be honest it has put us off, as not sure what would have happened if we have had the old fuse type fuse box or our hands were damp.
It is under warranty ,john Lewis customer care were brilliant can not fault them at all, that's why we shop with them, nothing is ever too much.
Hopefully the new one might be better like other people, but to be honest we are a bit weary and wont be leaving it switched on when we are not near it.

Great looking addition to the kitchen, looks and feels quality.
Great features you don't need to re boil as you can see how hot the water is in it, and the lights and sounds it make look snazzy.
Matches the cooker and the fridge so it ticks all the boxes for the girls.

I was deciding whether to buy this kettle for a while because of the price, but I took the plunge and I'm happy to report its worth every penny. Love the different temperature settings for different teas etc. It seems to boil pretty quickly and doesn't pump out lots of steam like my old kettle before switching off. Its solid and sturdy, only time will tell if its built to last but I think it will! :)

Lid could do with opening a little bit further for filling as it causes you to tilt kettle back slightly to fill - other than that beautiful....

A lot of research was completed before deciding on this product. We had had enough of leaking kettles and faulty switches.
The decision was helped as the food mixer has been so successful. Then there was the problem of which colour.
Delivery was organised and the day arrived. It seemed everyone was enjoying the present unwrapping. And was it worth it. We can all say a definite YES.
So far the elegance, design and practicality far out ways the price. The extended guarantee will be used if necessary but we doubt that will be the case. The toaster is next on the list!
