Natural bokeh
The lens is made up of 15 lens elements divided into 12 groups. The 16-blade diaphragm produces round, out-of-focus highlights that look natural and contribute to the natural-looking bokeh.
Image circle up to 46.5mm
The full-frame lens supports sensors with an image circle of up to 46.5mm for use on cameras with sensors up to full-frame format without any vignetting.
Smooth and precise focusing
The focus ring can be rotated 270 degrees, and the aperture ring can be rotated 82 degrees. This allows you to focus accurately and smoothly and adjust the aperture.
Cine-style gear rings
The 0.8MOD toothed rings on the focus and aperture rings make the lens compatible with cine-style lens accessories such as follow focus, lens motors and lens control systems.
Improved image quality and natural colours
The Arles series is equipped with a specially calibrated blue coating that reduces reflections and effectively counteracts stray light and ghosting. The internal lens structure uses sandblasted and anodised materials to create a micro-level anti-reflective coating with very low reflectance. This significantly reduces diffuse reflections. Even when shooting into direct backlight, this lens delivers clear and sharp images. It keeps the colour temperature consistent at around 5000 Kelvin, reproducing vivid and true-to-life colours for a natural, neutral visual style.
