Outstanding Filmmaking Performance

The Nikon D750 delivers broadcast-quality video in a plethora of frame formats including Full HD 1080p at 50p/60p frame rates. False-colour, noise, and moiré have been significantly reduced. 3D noise reduction is capable of reducing distortion, random noise, and flicker. This comes in especially useful when shooting at high sensitivities. The camera features increased operability thanks to the dedicated movie menu, which allows users to store all of their movie settings in one, handy place. Users benefit from clean HDMI output and simultaneous recording of full-res video on an external recorder, in addition to in-camera. The power aperture can be controlled while the camera is recording; whereas, the ISO can be configured from 100 to 51200 equivalent. When shooting in M mode it is also possible to fix the maximum Auto ISO from 200 up. To match the exquisite filmmaking capabilities of the Nikon D750 the audio functions have also been upgraded. The camera comes with a stereo microphone input and an audio output that allow for fine-tuning audio levels in isolation before and during recording. The recorded sound is clean as the noise is reduced when recording with the built-in microphone. Additionally, the user can select the sound range (wide/voice).

Picture Control 2.0

The second-gen Picture Control System provides users with the necessary before-and-after tools for shoots. The user has full control over contrast, brightness, sharpening, clarity, saturation and hue. The newly-introduced Flat setting is ideal for post-production workflows as it retains details and preserves rich tonal information in highlights and shadows. There is also the Clarity setting which allows for the precise adjustment of the contrast in addition to differentiating fine structures. There are, of-course, in-camera creative functions such as the time-lapse creation. Users can produce photographic time-lapses with smooth exposure transitions via simple menu operations. The interval timer shooting can be used to trigger the shutter at pre-set intervals; whereas, Time-Lapse photography can be used to save images as movie files.

In-Camera Creative Functions

The incorporated Effects Mode comes with plenty of special effects such as Selective Colour, Colour Sketch, Miniature Effect, and Night Vision. There are also Scene Modes that can be utilised for particular situations and locations. The user is free to add the aforementioned special effects to both video and still photography. The intensity of the effects can be previewed and adjusted while shooting. Finally, slow-motion is available to view in fast playback that offers playback rates from 24 to 36,000 times faster than usual.
