Extendable side plate

The L-bracket attaches to the camera's tripod socket with a 1/4"-20 screw. It is equipped with rubber pads to prevent scratches and twisting. Both the base plate and side plate are Arca-Swiss standard with markings in the centre. The side plate is extendable to create more space for connecting the HDMI cable and other cables.

Integrated cold shoe

The side plate of the SmallRig 3231 L-Bracket has a built-in cold shoe that makes it possible to mount a microphone or lamp for vlogs. It features a 1/4"-20 threaded hole to attach the quick-release plate to a gimbal for vertical filming.

Accessory mounting points

The base plate has a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded hole that allows the SmallRig 1280 Quick Dovetail Manfrotto or SmallRig 2429 Aluminum Mini Tripod to be mounted. The base plate is further provided with a slot for attaching a carrying strap. A flat head screwdriver is included to tighten the camera screw. The screwdriver can be stored in the base plate.
