Attachment

The cage attaches to the camera's tripod socket and has an M2.5 threaded hole on the side as a second locking point to prevent the camera from twisting. Rubber pads prevent scratches on the camera. In addition, all camera buttons, ports, and covers remain free when the cage is mounted.

Mounting

The connections on the cage allow you to add various accessories. The cage has multiple 1/4''-20'' and ARRI 3/8''-16 connections, to which you can attach a monitor mount, for example. Furthermore, the cage has two cold shoes for mounting microphones or lights. The bottom of the SmallRig 3531 has an integrated Arca-Swiss plate for quick mounting on an Arca-type tripod. Finally, the bottom of the cage has a built-in screwdriver.
