4th generation technology

By using the latest 4th generation technology, the Scarlett Solo has a perfect high-resolution conversion. The Scarlett Solo uses the same studio-grade 24-bit/192 kHz AD/DA converters as Focusrite's prestigious RedNet interfaces. These 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA converters deliver exceptional performance, with an impressive dynamic range of 120 dB. The two improved 4th generation Scarlett XLR microphone preamps have a huge gain range of 69 dB. The selectable Air Mode provides a clear and open sound like that of large studio consoles

Loopback function for podcasters, YouTubers, streamers

The Loopback feature gives you the ability to record various audio sources from your computer, such as the audio output of a web browser. This is accomplished via the Scarlett's virtual stereo inputs, which have no physical connections to the hardware interface itself but can be selected as signal sources in your digital audio workstation (DAW).

Podcasters can use Loopback to record guests during a video call. Gamers can record gaming audio as well as a separate microphone. YouTubers can record a microphone over a video. Additionally, you can merge computer audio with your microphone for streaming purposes.

USB C power supply

The Scarlett 4i4 is not only compact and light but also robust. You can leave it safely on your desktop, but you can also use it on location. Thanks to the powered USB-C, you can connect this audio mixer directly to your computer, Mac, or iPad, and it gets its power directly from your computer, so an external power adapter is not required.
