Composer Pro II

The Composer Pro II is the base part of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System that allows photographers and filmmakers to unleash their creative potential. This section is the mount for Lensbaby lenses, such as the Double Glass II. It articulates and moves around, offering creative visual manipulation that shifts the focus on your shot. This version of the Composer Pro features a metal body with charcoal grey accents, as well as an improved tilt control from 0-15° in any direction.

Double Glass II

The Double Glass Optic improves on what was one of Lensbaby’s first big optics which is still massively popular today. This optic offers a versatile 50mm focal length with a multi-coated optical glass doublet. It includes a unique drop-in magnetic aperture system, along with nine aperture disks, that can be used to render out-of-focus points with creative results. This iteration also adds a twelve-blade manually adjustable internal aperture that can be utilised to increase or decrease the in-focus sweet spot and/or the background blur.

Aperture Control

A huge improvement on Lensbaby’s previous Double Glass optic is the internal aperture that can be manually adjusted. This twelve-blade aperture system offers the same versatile aperture range from its maximum f2.5 to its minimum f22, but it can now be controlled by simply turning the front of the optic. Using a wide and bright aperture demonstrates the true creative intention of this lens, creating a tiny sharp spot of focus with increasing blur away from that spot.

You can step the lens down to its darker aperture stages and capture impressively detailed and traditionally sharp images with a large central area of focus and out-of-focus edges. It's that aperture control that allows for quick variability of the optical effect - simply turn the front of the optic and you can switch from the impressionistic glow to sharp and contrasted.
