Stunning 4K Images
The Canon XA70 is a camcorder designed for professional productions and broadcasting. The 1-inch CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor captures superb 4K footage that will look great on any display. The camcorder also features Over Sampled HD processing, generating incredible Full HD imagery from the 4K sensor.
A 9-blade aperture with a range of f2.8 to f4.5 lets camera operators shoot beautiful imagery even in low light conditions, whilst 8bit colour depth delivers vibrant colours. JPEG stills can also be taken at 3840 x 2160 resolution.
Powerful Zoom Lens
Capture any subject, no matter the distance, with the wide optical zoom lens. The lens covers a wide 25.5-382.5mm focal length range (35mm equivalent) and has a 15x optical zoom with a digital zoom that extends the range to 300x. Dynamic Image Stabilisation and 5-axis image stabilisation prevents shaky footage even when zoomed in.
The precise focusing features of the camcorder make sure your subject is always in focus. Adjustable focusing speeds and an advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF system - that uses every pixel in the imaging sensor to detect focus - provide fast and precise focusing for when your subject is on the move. Face Detection AF and Face Tracking also help with clearly framing moving subjects.
Flexible Recording Options
Adapt to any situation thanks to a suite of recording formats and options. Users have the option of shooting in Canon’s own premium XF-AVC format or in the smaller and universally accepted MP4 format at different resolutions and bitrates. Whether that is 4K UHD 160Mbps at 25p or Full HD 17Mbps at 50p, there is a recording format for any project.
The XA70 also boasts numerous inputs and outputs for professional setups. For capturing professional audio, the camcorder features two XLR terminals, a 4-channel linear PCM and a built-in microphone. Dual SD card slots allow users to either simultaneously record onto two separate cards or take advantage of relay recording when shooting for extended periods.
Quality Build and Features
Canon’s XA70 camcorder provides users with a number of functions and features that can elevate any shoot. It is capable of recording 0.5x slow motion in Full HD or 1200x Fast Motion in gorgeous 4K. An Infrared mode captures high-quality video in environments with little to no ambient light, recording in green or white.
The compact camcorder only weighs 990g and measures 110 x 91 x 214mm - making it suitable for handheld operation, particularly with the included handle unit. To help make shoots smoother, the 3.5-inch LCD display has touchscreen capabilities to let users accurately set AF points and more.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
