Designed specifically for the Red Komodo 6K cinema camera, the Kondor Blue Komodo Ultimate Rig V-mount includes a camera cage with a top handle, a universal baseplate, extension handgrips, PPSh rods, a quick-release camera plate, and a V-mount battery plate. It allows you to create a full cinema setup with your camera, whilst also providing protection and shoulder support.

Formfitting Camera Cage

The Kondor Blue Ultimate Rig for the Red Komodo 6K cinema camera includes a dedicated and formfitting camera cage with top and bottom screws to prevent any twisting or slipping of your camera. This rig provides camera protection on all sides, as well as professional power, shoulder support, and various accessory mounting options. It allows you to create a full cinema setup with your gear and the cage protects the camera from impact and other damage during production days. It is available in a space grey and a black finish, featuring multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8”-16 accessory mounting points with ARRI-style anti-twist threads. There are NATO rails on all sides of the cage. The top handle is also attached via NATO rail. The cold shoe mount with a safety pin arrangement prevents connected accessories from falling out. You can easily mount the cage onto a tripod using the integrated Arca-Swiss plate on the bottom of the cage and the multiple 1/4" and 3/8” threads. These threads also make it compatible with the new DJI Ronin. There is a raised front at the bottom to keep your camera from twisting in the cage.

Top Handle with a Start/Stop Button

The trigger handle on top of the camera cage features a start/stop camera control button and a LANC port that makes it compatible with a wide variety of camera models including Canon, JVC, Panasonic, Blackmagic, and others. It can be easily mounted on top of the cage using the removable NATO rails and offers multiple 3/8”-16, 1/4"-20, and anti-twist threads for connecting and mounting accessories. The anti-twist ARRI-style threads include pre-inserted bushings of 3/8”-16 and 1/4"-20 threads to allow mounting additional accessories. The top handle comes with two cold shoe mounts and a single 15 mm rod port. You can connect Sony Alpha series cameras using the 11-inch LANC cable and 12-inch micro-USB cable. Made from aluminium, the handle provides a smooth and ergonomic grip design for added comfort.

Battery Accessories for Power

Other accessories that are included in the kit are a pair of 15 mm PPSh rods, an aluminium body cap to protect the camera’s sensors and mounts, a V-mount battery plate, and a LEMO to D-Tap cable for KOMODO. You can add professional power to the ultimate rig with the V-mount Cine battery plate as it provides multiple DC power output ports for connected accessories and cameras. You can also input AC power and charge the battery using the included switchable barrel outputs. The coiled D-Tap battery cable helps you to connect Sony cameras to the V-mount battery plate and leaves the D-Tap ports of the battery plates available for accessories. the D-tap connector includes a status LED to indicate power.
