Modular Camera Cage with a Top Handle

The Kondor Blue Sony FX3 Base Rig is a modular camera cage with a top handle and other accessories to provide protection and accessory mounting options for your Sony FX3 camera. The cage protects the camera from impact and damage during production days. It is available in a black finish and features multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8”-16 accessory mounting points with ARRI-style anti-twist divots. There are removable NATO rails on the side pieces and at the top of the cage to mount the top handle. A safety pin cold shoe mount prevents the accidental falling out of cold shoe accessories. The bottom of the cage features a built-in Arca-Swiss plate, making it compatible with the DJI Ronin. The top handle includes a start/stop camera control button and a LANC port to support a wide variety of camera models including Panasonic, JVC, Canon, and others. The 15 mm side rod support enables the connection of EVF or monitors.

Universal Baseplate with a Camera Plate

The universal ARRI-standard baseplate of the base rig supports 15 mm LWS rods and an industry-standard dovetail connection to create a setup with a large matte box and a big lens. It includes a Manfrotto 501 quick-release camera plate, allowing you to mount your camera from one setup to another. The side-loaded camera plate system allows you to easily slide your camera from the top to the front. You can mount the camera cage on top of a tripod using the included 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 tripod mounting screws. The rubber-padded construction minimises the twisting of the camera inside the cage and prevents scratching.

The included Kondor Blue Cine Cap helps protect the camera’s sensors and ports. This metal lens cap adds a high-end look to the rig with a sleek, black finish. It is crafted from a single block of aerospace-grade aluminium alloy and features engraved lens orientation markings to enable quick and seamless mounting, locking into place like a lens. It has precise ridges along the edge to grip the cap and has an expert-quality design.
