AirHed Cine Video Head

Precision milled from aerospace-grade magnesium alloy, the AirHed Cine is 3 Legged Thing’s first dedicated video head. This head features a unique spiderweb design and boasts an adjustable tilt mechanism that offers smooth movement whether controlled directly or using the included panning arm. Not only does this head benefit from friction control for tilting, but it also features a knurled clamp knob for improved grip and leverage, and a 360˚ panning base which can be locked when required. The side of the head also includes a 1/4"-20 screw thread for attaching additional accessories such as articulated arms.

Premium Features

As one of 3 Legged Thing’s ‘Legend’ tripods, Mike has been engineered from a series of premium features. This includes a new style of Chicken Lips (shims) that give the leg locks greater strength, grip and formidable anti-rotation, the new Rapid-Latch for easier angle adjustments, and raised O-Pads with Bubble Grip texture that provide better grip, torque and water dispersion. The Rapid-Latch also benefits from an improved design that is easy to use even for people with impairments.

Customise Your Setup

Mike's contoured levelling base also features a dual-purpose D-ring designed to control friction for the leveller and act as an attachment point for additional accessories or ballast. And, with rubber Bootz which can be replaced with any of 3 Legged Thing’s foot accessories, Mike provides maximum stability on all kinds of terrains. By adding optional 3LT footwear, Mike's levelling base can also be converted to a tabletop / low-level tripod, or a foot stabiliser for the monopod.

Yes. The panning arm can be operated comfortably by both right and left-handed users.

How can I make this a tabletop tripod?

To use the Legends Mike Tripod on a tabletop, users will need the optional Vanz footwear set. Simply remove the 3 detachable legs and screw the Vanz in place. You can either leave the column in place for some height or you can remove the column and mount the AirHed to the canopy.
