When connected to the MI Shoe of a compatible Sony camera, power is supplied directly from the camera to the microphone. Whilst this means you can record extended shoots without worrying about battery life, the lack of cables means you also don’t have to worry about cables making noises or getting in the way of the shot.

What is a supercardioid pickup pattern?

A microphone with a supercardioid pickup pattern is extremely directional from where the mic is pointing.
