Effortless External Recording
The included USB-C port allows external disk recording by easily plugging in an external flash drive. This feature can be used to record other media types whenever required and they provide a massive storage capacity without any size constraints. Flash drives offer a fast speed and can record high data rate formats such as real-time ProRes in 4K. It makes it possible for you to record to the same disk that you are using and you can easily manage the external disk using the large LCD.
Wide Range of Connections
The HyperDeck Extreme features a wide range of audio and video connections such as multi-rate 12G-SDI and HDMI. The 12G-SDI outputs support HD, SD, Ultra HD and 8K devices while the HDMI output supports video projectors and consumer televisions. It includes balanced analogue, HiFi audio and timecode connections for archiving work. The included down-converted monitor SDI output includes overlays and can be used for monitoring. The latest HDR workflows are supported by the latest HDR standards and a wide colour gamut. The SDI and HDMI input automatically detects HDR video standards.
Fast 10G Ethernet Networking
This HyperDeck features the latest 10G Ethernet network connection, making it ideal to use for digital signage. It enables high-speed uploads using the FTP protocols and a much faster CFast card transfer speed. An easy text-based protocol is used to enable you to use Tenet to test control commands. Users can use the optional Blackmagic MultiDock 10G to use regular SSDs, making it compatible with other HyperDeck models.
Supports Traditional Controls
It can be easily converted into a traditional broadcast deck by adding HyperDeck Extreme Control, making it ideal for live production and digital signage. It has a modern design, featuring a large touch-screen user interface with deck controls and a large LCD. It includes two media slots, analogue connections, 12G-SDI, and a front-panel speaker along with the headphone jack. It provides convenient use and control, keeping the traditional controls intact. The familiar layout of a traditional broadcast allows you to control up to 8 decks via industry-standard RS-422 control, and create a single-desk.

What operating systems is it compatible with?
The Blackmagic HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR is compatible with Mac 11.1, Mac 12.0 Monterey or later, Windows 10 and Windows 11.
What are its control options?
It features a built-in control panel with a large touch-screen LCD and onscreen control for settings and navigating menus. For external control, the Blackmagic HyperDeck Ethernet Protocol can be used as well as the RS-422 deck control, timecode run and SDI start/stop.
What are its scopes and viewing modes?
It includes RGB Parade, Histogram, Waveform and Vector scopes in broadcast quality. The included viewing modes are picture overlays with opacity control and picture-in-picture.
Where can media be stored and what is its media format?
It is capable of formatting media to ExFAT (Windows/Mac) or HFS+ file systems. The dual CFast memory slots and the USB Type-CFlash drives can be used to store and share your files as required.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
