Added Auto O.I.S Lock Feature

Designed to further enhance user experience, Panasonic has taken customer feedback from the popular V770 predecessor to improve O.I.S on the V785. With conventional O.I.S locks, users are required to press and hold buttons for stronger stabilisation. With Panasonic's improved Auto O.I.S Lock feature, the V785 controls image stabilisation strength by automatic discrimination. This camcorder detects scenes needing strong stabilisation, (when zooming or walking, for example) and automatically activates the O.I.S Lock - so you can shoot confidently knowing you’re capturing all of the action.

Premium Audio with Wind Protection

Audio is just as important as the picture when it comes to videography. Thankfully, Panasonic doesn’t let audio become an afterthought. Built into the V785 are four 6mm-diameter, high-S/N mics and aluminium electrolytic capacitors that are designed to reduce sound distortion and increase clarity. The added windshield and buffering material inserted between the ECM and the Mic Net also prevent wind from striking the microphone and reduce unwanted noise.

Users can also be sure to capture audio ‘just as they hear it’ by using the Sound Scene feature to automatically alter frequency characteristics depending on their environment. This makes it easier to capture the ambient sounds of nature or the ear-piercing festival bass without experiencing distortion.

Greater Creative Control

Whilst the V785 takes leaps into more convenient, automated technology, Panasonic also empowers users with the creative freedom of manual preferences and idiosyncrasies. Included on the V785 are Intelligent Auto, Intelligent Auto Plus, Creative Control, HDR Movie, Scene, manual, HD Slow Motion and Stop Motion Animation Assist modes. For every automated response, Panasonic provides a counterpart for manual adjustments.

Creative Control mode also allows users to experiment with different effects. You can choose between Miniature Effect, Silent Movie, 8mm Movie, and Time-Lapse Recording modes to replicate popular shooting styles and find your favourites.
