This docking station features a USB 3.1 connector that delivers faster file transfers. File transfer time completely depends on the size of the data and files. If you happen to have large files, it would take more time to offload content off the drive caddy. USB 3.1 technology promises faster file transfers than USB 2.0 even if the files are large.
How many drive caddies can I attach to this docking station?
This professional docking station is capable of connecting a single drive caddy only. It is not possible to work with two drive caddies simultaneously. If there is storage space on your drive caddy then you can store your computer files and data on it too.
Why is there a second port on this docking station?
The second port on the station is installed for use with older generation devices. It allows you to offload contents to devices that do not support USB 3.1 technology.
Can I remove the USB Type C cable from the docking station for use with other devices?
The USB Type C cable is attached to the station’s design. It cannot be detached from it and used with other devices.
Can you use this docking station with Master Caddy?
This docking station is smaller than its previous versions. It supports Master Caddy and Master Caddy II.
