Fixed-Köhler Version

This model of Zeiss Primostar 1 Upright Microscope is a fixed-Köhler version with a pre-adjusted large field of view of an impressive 20 mm and 4-position nosepiece. It is tailored specifically for brightfield microscopy and is easy to use by just plugging in. You can select the corresponding objective lenses and eyepieces as per the requirement features easy to read scales for long term use.

Digital Classroom

The microscope can be wirelessly connected to Wi-Fi cameras via the installation of the Zeiss Labscope microscopy application. All the microscopes in a classroom can be connected in a network for collective learning. Any image can be chosen from any of the microscopes to project or monitor. The 8.3 Megapixel HD WiFi Camera and Wi-Fi dongle offer various interfaces like LAN/Ethernet and USB-C 3.0 port connections.

Eco-Mode

The Eco-mode or the power saving mode in the microscope gets enabled and goes into sleep mode for up to 30 minutes, as long as nobody touches it. This allows you to multitask without any worry of continuous wastage of power. Keep your work eco-friendly while you attend to other disruptions.

Light Manager

Examining each specimen with two or more objectives may be required to change the amount of light repeatedly. How can the eco-mode and light manager be activated?

Simply triple-click on the light intensity knob to activate or disable the eco-mode. Both the LED layers on the microscope stand will start to blink slowly, once activated. The microscope goes into sleep mode for up to 30 minutes as long as nobody touches it and any movement of the nosepiece or the light intensity knob will reactivate it. Push the light intensity knob for 5 seconds to activate or disable the light manager.

What are the different light housings available?

You can either use a 30-Watt halogen bulb or energy-saving 30-Watt LED illumination for stable illumination intensity and colour temperature. These light housings are interchangeable, depending upon the application you are using and the results you want. An in-bus key screwdriver is needed to take out and replace the needed lamp housing.

What accessories can be used with the microscope?

Lots of different accessories can be used with the microscope to expand the possibilities such as a phototube, swivelling mirror, a transport case, polarizer, and a fluorescence tube. The phototube can be used to document the microscope images, and the mirror can be used to adjust ambient light when there is no electricity. The polarizer can be used for polarizing contrast in transmitted light and the fluorescence tube can turn the microscope into an LED fluorescence microscope.

Which software application is supported by the microscope?

The Zeiss Primostar 3 can be connected wirelessly via the Labscope imaging application. In a digital classroom, all the microscopes can be connected and the data can be shared seamlessly with a high resolution of 8.3 Megapixel. It also lets you save your images in a ZEN compatible .czi file along with the image metadata.
