What is the focal length of the lens and close focus range?

The objective lens has a focal length of 190mm and a close-focus distance of 33 ft. (10 metres), making it ideal for birding and outdoor activities.

How do you focus the spotting scope?

To ensure sharp and crisp images, the spotting scope should be used with the tabletop tripod for stability. Simply rotate the focus wheel to focus the spotting scope, until the image on the eyepiece appears sharp and clear.

How can the magnification of the eyepiece be changed?

Rotate the eyepiece in a clockwise direction to increase the magnification, and counterclockwise to decrease the magnification. The scope will need to be refocused when changing magnification. The lowest magnification provides a large field of view and the brightest images.

Which cameras and smartphones are compatible with the scope?

The included smartphone adapter can be used with all smartphones to capture images and videos. Not all cameras are compatible for digiscoping as vignetting will occur with some of them. Point-and-shoot cameras with an optical zoom of 3x or 4x can be used with the scope when using the Celestron Universal Camera Adapter.
