The diskAshur PRO2 HDD is equipped with a built-in AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption engine for advanced data security. It generates data encryption keys randomly by a Common Criteria EAL4+ ready random number generator that is protected by FIPS validated wrapping algorithms. Besides, the microprocessor enters the deadlock frozen state that prevents any hacking attempt from succeeding. The security lock feature safeguards the device against any unauthorised firmware modifications from the host side. You can stay assured of data security and get peace of mind.
Fool-proof Protection against Brute Force Hacking
The diskAshur PRO2 HDD safeguards your data against all forms of hacking attacks. When a hacker enters the wrong PIN five times, consecutively, the drive freezes. Then you need to disconnect the drive and reconnect it to the USB port to get five more chances for entering the correct PIN. Wrong entries of PIN for five times more makes the diskAshur PRO2 HDD freeze again. You get five final PIN attempts, completing a total of 15, for which you need to keep on the "shift" button pressed while inserting the USB cable into the USB port and enter a preset PIN. When you or any hacker enters a PIN incorrectly for the 15th time, the diskAshur PRO2 HDD deletes the encryption key and locks itself, causing all data stored on it to be lost forever. In such a scenario, the only way is to reset the HDD to factory default settings and re-deploy.

Do you require Admin rights for this portable hard drive to work?
As the iStorage diskAshur Pro2 256-bit doesn’t require any user to install software and all the encryptions or decryptions are performed within the hardware on the drive itself, you don’t require admin rights for its operation.
Do you require to re-enter the code after some time of inactivity or only after disconnecting it from the USB port?
When your computer sleeps, the iStorage diskAshur Pro2 256-bit locks. You can easily prevent this by changing the power settings of the computer such that even when it sleeps, it keeps the power to hard drives and USB devices on and only lets the monitor hibernate. For Apple computers, users need to go to the power setting in 'System Preferences' and click the 'do not suspend USB' option. It will keep the hard drive active, even if the Mac goes into hibernation.
Can I connect this storage device with a smart TV through a USB Port?
The iStorage diskAshur 256-bit Desktop hard drive can easily be connected with a desktop, laptop and even with a smart TV. Hence, there would be no compatibility issue.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
