The Hawk-Woods DCD1X is a dummy battery adaptor that is specially designed for Canon EOS D7 and D5 cameras. It is meticulously crafted from high-quality materials that make it lightweight and durable. Fixed to a cable-mounted two-pin Power-Con (D-Tap), this unit enables you to power your EOS Camera from an external broadcast battery source. The DCD1X is supplied with an extended cable length of 70 cm for use on larger rigs. Regulated to 8.4V, it accepts voltages up to 30-volt but is typically used with V-Lok batteries. Just plug the DCD1X into a D-Tap power socket on an appropriate battery fitting, such as the DC-CA5 Canon Power Boxes. It comes complete with an 8.4-volt regulator, so it works well with any output distributing 10-volt to 20-volt.
