The Hawk-Woods VL-MCF2 is a V-mount camera plate that allows the user to hot-swap the Mini V-Lok Batteries easily. This Hawk-Woods Hot-Swap Plate is a better option than the stackable battery system because it fits two batteries together for continuous charging. It is suitable for RED cameras and has a single D-Tap Output for easy connectivity. The Mini Hot-Swap Plate includes an LED indicator that lets the user know when it is time to hot-swap the batteries. It is built-in with a single Power-Con output for nominal battery voltage during use.

    How will the LED indicator help me know when it is time to hot-swap the batteries and when it isn’t?

    As soon as the batteries are attached, the LED turns solid green. When the camera starts to use up the battery, this green light starts to blink. When you see a flashing red light, it means that it is time to hot-swap the batteries. Once this red light turns solid, you cannot hot-swap anymore.

    How many D-Tap outputs are included in this camera plate?

    This camera plate includes a single D-Tap output.

    Will this camera plate be suitable for other cameras apart from RED?

    This camera plate is suitable for V-mount-supported cameras.
