The BirdDog Eyes P200 is a functional, pro-level full NDI 1080p60 PTZ camera - designed specifically for large indoor spaces. These include indoor stadiums, theatre stages, and places of worship. Further to this, it has an impressive 30x optical zoom, Sony 1/2.8" CMOS backlit 2.13MP image sensor, and same-time SDI, HDMI, NDI, CVBS output. The P200 combines lightning-fast autofocus and stabilised zoom, tailor-made to capture action-packed sports events. This PTZ camera system can also be powered either by PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) or via the included power adapter. BirdDog Comms Lite audio intercom software comes as standard, supporting up to four BirdDog devices. Other features to Comms Lite include director push to talk, mute camera operator, auto-detect NDI sources, monitor camera audio, and shortcut to Web console. Game Changing NDI

NDI (Network Device Interface) is a variable bit rate iFrame codec, capable of 140 Mb/s at 1080p60. It is also a visually lossless connection, which is quite rare for PTZ camera systems as they stereotypically take from security cameras with NDI|HX - a compressed, long-GOP, H.264 variant reaching 12Mb/s at 1080p60. To simplify, this means that you are provided with broadcast-quality visuals from this smart little PTZ system. The P200 is further capable of simultaneous NDI and SDI outputs for live recording within a full NDI workflow. This makes the P200 a truly futureproof PTZ camera, as you can still utilise an SDI workflow controlled via RS422, RS485, and RS232 - before converting to NDI when you are ready.

Stadium Lights

Due to the P200's lightning-fast autofocus and quick-action 30x optical zoom, this camera system is ideally suited to large indoor stadiums, theatre stages, and places of worship. It has the ability to follow all of the action at the football, basketball, netball, gymnastics and more - with a bag of compatible mounting screws to ensure an easy setup. This means that you can mount your P200 (or multiple P200s) in areas where it would not be viable for a camera operator to stand. By doing so, it means that you can easily record and even live-stream games at a professional level as seen on TV; with further access to 128 camera presets at up to 150°/sec. You can even store up to six presets within the included remote control to replicate sharp, smart, and smooth camera movements.

World-Class Pairing with the PTZ Keyboard

The BirdDog PTZ Keyboard controller pairs perfectly with the P200. You are granted full control of your camera's functions remotely, with the controller having the capacity to control up to 255 PTZ cameras on a single network. That's right, 225. It can even scale to match the most complex installations, controlling the P200 over either NDI or by RS422 / RS232 when utilising SDI mode.

What is a PTZ camera?

PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) cameras are great for monitoring/capturing large areas where it would not be viable for someone to be operating the camera. This includes remote studio set-ups, reality TV, concerts, places of worship, sporting events, and theatre productions.

Can you connect the P200 to a tripod?

The P200 from BirdDog has an in-built 1/4"-20 female thread at the base of the camera.

Can you power this PTZ camera via POE?

The BirdDog Eyes P200 can be powered by POE - Power Over Ethernet, or via AC power.

Can you run this camera on Cat5?

You are able to run this camera via a Cat5 cable. However, it is recommended to use Cat6 or Cat7 - especially when utilising the P200's NDI and PoE features.

Does this PTZ camera come with mounting screws?

You are provided with a bag of compatible mounting screws, allowing for an easy and stress-free setup.

Is the BirdDog Eyes P200 capable of auto-tracking and face-recognition?

The BirdDog Eyes P200 does not have auto-tracking or face-recognition functionality. However, you can utilise the prest function to store and recall 6 sets of shooting conditions.

Does the IR Remote Control come with the required battery?

The included IR Remote Control requires a 3V CR2032 battery. This is not included within the box, so will need to be purchased separately.
