Hoodman Sony PVM A170 and 1741 OLED
The Hoodman HA170B Monitor Hood is specially designed to fit the Sony PVM-A170 OLED Monitor and Sony PVM-1741 OLED Monitor. Lightweight and durable, it is constructed from high-quality, water-resistant nylon over rugged honeycomb plastic inserts that can stand up to the rigours of use when shooting in demanding outdoor locations. The hood is designed to stop all the reflections and glare coming in from the side and above your monitor. It reduces the screen glare when shooting in bright sunlight or intense indoor artificial lights. This Hoodman sunshield comes with a snap-on mounting kit that allows secure and quick mounting over the monitor. The snap studs screw into the sides of the monitor bezel using the holes present in the bezel. It is designed to accommodate hood mounting over yoke mounts. The Hoodman HA170B hood also includes a removable rain cape that protects the monitor from the elements.

How can I use the hood as a three-sided visor?
The hood comes with a removable bottom panel. You can insert it for optimum glare relief or choose to take it out for use as a three-sided visor for improved access to front panel controls on the monitor and/or better focus on the screen.
How can I use the yoke mounting system for attaching the HA170B hood?
The yoke mounts mount to the sides of the monitor. If you are using yoke mounts, simply position the included adhesive Velcro strips forward of the yokes on the monitor and mate the hood up to the Velcro strips without using the snap option.
I was wondering if this hood works with Sony protective screen covers too?
This hood is not compatible with Sony protective screen covers.
