4K/8K Optical Quality and Wide Focal Range

This lens has been designed to produce edge-to-edge sharpness throughout the entire focal range, even when used with 8K camera bodies. This lens also is capable of producing warmer colour tones that are synonymous with Canon and cinema lenses. With a 10x zoom ranging from a wide 25mm to 250mm telephoto, you're able to cater to almost any shooting situation. Although, if you need that little bit more, this range can be extended to a further 375mm using the built-in 1.5x optical extender.

A Versatile, Lightweight and Compact Design

Not only is this lens surprisingly compact and lightweight for what this lens can produce; the ergonomic drive unit can be added or removed giving the user greater flexibility and versatility depending on your client's needs. Furthermore, the lens can be interchanged between EF & PL mounts (via an additional authorised service from Canon), providing even great versatility to your video arsenal.

Data Communication

The lens also has multiple data communication functions and support resulting in compliance with a wide range of communication standards. It's this versatile lens-to-camera communication function which supports EF and PL mounts, including Cooke/i-Technology. Finally, the lens also has a 12-pin serial communication which is useful for broadcast standards, as well as a 20-pin connector which outputs accurate lens positional data for various virtual systems.
