Built from Infra-red absorbing glass, this filter fits directly onto the sensor. It eliminates the need for multiple filters for different lenses. Light transmission is reduced to 94%

Easy to install and remove

Simply lock the mirror up and this filter clips on directly around the filter (be sure not to touch the filter with your fingers. Wear gloves if possible). The filter can then be easily unclipped when required, ready to be reused when needed

Can I install this myself?

Yes. The filter is designed as a user-changeable part. However, be aware that you need to be very careful when installing this item, and care must be made not to touch the sensor itself with your fingers. Please visit STC website for full installation instructions

How will this affect my shooting methods?

To see an effect of the filter, you will need to shoot with the mirror locked up in live view mode. Also, due to a change in the optical axis, lenses will appear slightly wider in focal length than before. Light transmission is also reduced by 6%, so images will appear slightly darker
