    Product Overview

Does gorgeous cuisine feel too far out of reach? It won’t be with this Smeg oven. It’s really big and has plenty of room for a few dishes at once. There’s also a load of programmes to play with – roasting, baking and grilling. Circulaire technology uses a fan to help the heat move around inside too, so every recipe will be deliciously cooked. Why not grab a few friends and invite them over for a pizza party? With the special pizza setting, you’ll be able to get those crispy bases and oozing toppings down to a T. And once you’ve chowed down on your last slice, just flick on Vapour Clean and it’ll loosen tough splatters for easy upkeep.

Easy clean steam melts away food spatters

Smeg have taken the hassle out of cleaning the oven with the Vapour Clean feature on this model. All you need to do is pour around 40ml of water into the bottom of the oven and select the Vapour Clean function from the control panel. The oven will use the water to create steam inside the cavity, loosening any baked on food and grease, so that it will wipe away easily when the cleaning cycle has ended.

    Tips for measuring up

When measuring up for a new single oven, the width will be standard at around 59.5cm. You’ll need to make sure height of the oven space is also around 59.5cm for this single oven, as you can also get compact ovens that are 45cm tall. Check the depth too – single ovens are 56cm deep but you’ll need an extra couple of centimetres for any gas pipes. If you have a gas hob above your oven, it’s best to buy a model with a sloping back, rather than a square back – otherwise it might not fit under the gas pipe for the hob.

Enamel liners stop buildup for easy cleaning

Cleaning the oven is one of the most dreaded chores out there. But, if you’ve got a model with an easy clean enamel finish, you can cut cleaning time right down. It’s got a clever antacid lining that repels grease, so food spatters have a hard time sticking to the walls of your oven. So, when you come to clean it, there’s a lot less scrubbing needed. Cue the big sigh of relief.

Not the standard I hoped for

    3/5
I am commenting on my replacement. An array of settings which can be pretty confusing to know which one to use and when! As an experienced cook, I'm not the biggest fan of this oven tbh. I am still trying to get used to its random cooking times. For example, I recently cooked my Christmas cake. The recipe said 2 hours, the oven took closer to 3! I have not yet trusted it to roast a chicken yet.

    Second time lucky

    4/5
The first one installed was not great. The door wasn’t on straight and it came up with an error during the initial burn off cycle that came back every time I tried to heat up the oven. However AO replaced the oven quickly and the replacement seems great. Easily the best looking integrated oven on the market, it’s got a huge range of heating options (can even use it as an air fryer if you get a suitable tray). Very happy with it.

New oven - still not working

    1/5
My new oven was fitted but a month after purchase still doesn’t work. Smeg was unable to explain what the error codes were and sent an engineer. They were again unable to workout what the error codes meant so they ordered new electric components. The door was scratched and the deep tray was missing a bit of coating. Both are been replaced in request. I am hoping once all is fixed I will be happy but so far my experience has been very poor with what I though was a high spec high quality product.
