By connecting this hood to a compatible hob, AEG’s Hob2Hood feature offers a hands-free way of managing your cooking environment. When you turn your hob on, it communicates with the hood via infrared, so the lights will come on too. It’ll even recognise when your kitchen is getting smokier and will boost the power to control it. This means that you’ll never find yourself fumbling with the controls.
Heat boost gets dinner on the table quicker
If you’re heading out for a night at the movies, the PowerBoost function gives an extra burst of heat to help you cook faster. You might even get there in time for the trailers, because the water will be boiled and ready to go in under 90 seconds. Tips for measuring up
When measuring for an induction hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Also, you need to make sure no cupboards will hang over the hob, and that there’s at least 65cm between the hob and your cooker hood. Learn more with our guide.

Great product. Allows you to have a larger pan on the hob and all surface will be heated.
Downside is how sensitive it can be. If it identifies anything on the hob it may start beeping - such as cleaning spray or pan is resting on top when hob is off.
