Our old Bosch dishwasher finally gave up the ghost after 15 years and we were looking for a black dishwasher to match the other appliances. The Hotpoint was the perfect match of aesthetics and function. So far, it’s been very good. The programmes have taken a little time to get used to as the symbols are not obvious but we tend to use just two anyway. The old Bosch just required one button push but this requires 3, so not so intuitive. However, the internal size seems greater and the inverter on the motor makes it a little quieter also. All in all, happy with our purchase.

Appear to have broken down after two weeks use, engineer booked to resolve, showed code F02, continuously. AO are sending someone to take a look without any quibble, so follow up service good

Great appliance, quiet when on and loads of space for all shapes of dishes and plates. Everything coming out super clean even with cheap washing machine tablets (lidl!). Eco mode takes a while but has a 10 minute rinse function which is great.

We’ve had this dishwasher for more than a year and it is quite the worst one we have owned, 4 or 5 over a period of more than 35 years. Firstly, soon after delivery, it failed completely, taking out our house electrics with it. Hotpoint support was abysmal and, in spite of being told exactly what the problem was, it took ages, and repeat visits, to be fixed and even then the “technician” sent out seemed to have little clue as to how the thing was meant to work and left without testing the repair. The build quality is poor with the upper rack transverse rails being loose and coming off when the rack is pulled out. The upper spray nozzle is so flimsy it broke off within a few months. The wash is just about ok as long as the machine is only half full, otherwise it is poor. I would avoid any Hotpoint appliance in future.

Good dishwasher - does exactly what it is supposed to. Instructions clear. We mostly use the 1h20 minute wash and there is almost nothing it can't clean at that level. Easy to install. Looks as good as more expensive brands. Star dropped as some plates can be tricky to put in as there are not many wide spaces for bigger plates.

Great machine! Lots of programme choice, quiet when running, door opens at the end of some cycles to let the steam out!
